Mumbai, Oct. 22 -- The development is expected to support local employment and strengthen Visakhapatnam's position as an emerging industrial and logistics hub.

TVS Industrial & Logistics Parks (TVS ILP) has leased 80,000 sq ft of warehousing space at its industrial and logistics park in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, to ATC Tires AP Pvt. Ltd., a Yokohama Group company.

ATC Tires has commenced operations at the facility, which will serve as a mother hub warehouse supporting both domestic distribution and export activities.

The facility is expected to strengthen ATC Tires' supply chain network and improve access to major industrial and manufacturing markets. The warehouse will store and distribute Yokohama passenger car tyres, along with ALLIANCE, GALAXY and PRIMEX off-highway tyre brands serving the agriculture, construction, industrial and forestry sectors.

Ramnath Subramaniam, Joint Managing Director, TVS ILP, said, "This partnership reflects how our tech-enabled, well-connected infrastructure supports customers' evolving operational and supply-chain requirements. With its strategic location, established industrial ecosystem and favourable government incentives, Visakhapatnam is emerging as an important destination for businesses across sectors."

Jose Motha, General Manager, Supply Chain Management, Yokohama, added, "With our highly automated facility in Visakhapatnam manufacturing passenger car and off-highway tyres, our collaboration with TVS ILP in the city is a strategic step towards strengthening our logistics infrastructure and enhancing operational efficiencies. Its connectivity to key trade routes and access to markets across South and East India will enable us to better address evolving business needs and build a more agile supply chain."

The development is expected to support local employment and reinforce Visakhapatnam's position as an emerging regional industrial and logistics hub, aided by expanding infrastructure and maritime connectivity.

The lease adds to TVS ILP's growing Grade-A warehousing portfolio and reinforces its focus on expanding industrial and logistics infrastructure across key economic corridors to support evolving supply-chain requirements.
