Mumbai, Sept. 16 -- Construction equipment manufacturer SDLG India has launched a new India-focused range of diesel-powered and electric excavators, wheel loaders, and motor graders. According to the company, the move strengthens its offering for the country's fast-expanding infrastructure, construction, and mining sectors.
The new product range includes ten advanced diesel excavators with improved hydraulics, operator control, and safety features, alongside electric equipment designed for sustainable applications, and was launched at the ongoing Bauma Conexpo India 2026 trade fair for construction machinery in Greater Noida.
SDLG is part of the China-headquartered $5.7 billion Shandong Lingong Group, one of the world's top 50 construction machinery companies, and has been present in India since 2009.

The newly unveiled excavators feature positive flow control hydraulics and electronic joysticks for enhanced responsiveness. Models come with a roll-over protective structure/falling object protective structure (ROPS/FOPS) air-conditioned cabin. They are powered by a proven engine-pump combination, combining operator safety, comfort, and dependable performance.
Electric Expansion
Alongside diesel-powered equipment, SDLG has expanded into electric machinery, reflecting the growing role of alternative technologies in construction.
Soumyaranjan Dash, Head of Dealer Development & Brand Marketing, SDLG India, stated, "Our primary focus is on offering machinery best suited to Indian operating conditions and customer requirements, whether through fuel-efficient conventional equipment or more sustainable solutions backed by a strong nationwide dealer network."
While diesel equipment remains integral to large-scale operations, electric excavators offer zero-emission, low-noise performance, as the industry gradually adopts sustainable and efficient construction solutions.
Senior SDLG India officials told Infrastructure Today that the company is preparing to deepen localisation and strengthen its manufacturing and service capabilities in India, with a major announcement expected soon.
