Mumbai, Oct. 5 -- IQ Gateway is positioned as a Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP)-compliant platform designed to protect customer trust while enabling safe, large-scale communications.
Airtel Business, India's leading enterprise connectivity provider, on Monday launched Airtel IQ Gateway, the country's first telco-grade network intelligence platform for business communications.
The platform integrates SMS, WhatsApp, RCS, voice and number verification into a single control plane. Enterprises no longer need to juggle multiple vendors. IQ Gateway is Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP)-compliant, designed to protect customer trust while enabling safe, large-scale communications.
The launch comes at a time when businesses face fragmented communication stacks and limited visibility into message delivery. Messages are often marked "delivered" even when they fail, while international OTP pumping by bots inflates bills. Manual handling of pre-approved templates adds further risk. For sectors such as BFSI, government, e-commerce and logistics, these gaps erode customer trust and damage brand reputation.
IQ Gateway addresses these challenges with a single control centre. It combines Airtel's fraud protection with native distributed ledger technology (DLT) integration, automated vendor failover and intelligent routing across channels. The platform was rolled out nationwide after successful trials with banks, financial institutions and other industry partners.
Sharat Sinha, CEO of Airtel Business, said, "With IQ Gateway, we are extending our proven network-grade fraud prevention expertise to enterprises, enabling them to build brand trust while ensuring every customer conversation is safe, authenticated and resilient."
By leveraging Airtel's built-in trust layers-IQ Verify for fraud scoring and Silent Authentication for SIM-based login-the platform protects enterprises from fraudulent account creation, takeover attempts, artificial traffic spikes and SMS pumping losses.
Enterprise Messaging Security
IQ Gateway can be integrated with existing workflows and vendor ecosystems. It can be installed on-premises or hosted on Airtel's cloud as SaaS, depending on customer preference and security needs. Enterprises can manage all customer communications on a single dashboard, with real-time analytics and transparent delivery reporting.
Built-in safeguards prevent losses from fraudulent SMS pumping and billing spikes, a persistent industry challenge. Features include native DLT integration, automated vendor failover and intelligent multi-channel routing. Airtel IQ Verify evaluates network, device and usage signals to block fraudulent accounts while protecting genuine customers. Silent Authentication replaces OTP SMS for login and SIM-binding flows by validating that the entered number matches the active SIM in-device, reducing SIM-swap and social-engineering risks.
