Mumbai, Oct. 7 -- From October 15, the two carriers will expand cooperation, giving customers wider itineraries and more flight options through their booking channels.
Air India and Singapore Airlines (SIA) have launched the first phase of initiatives under their Commercial Cooperation Framework Agreement, signed in January 2026.
From October 15, the two carriers will expand cooperation by offering customers a wider range of itineraries and flight options through their respective booking channels. The arrangement covers 126 weekly flights between Singapore and eight Indian cities, including Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata and Mumbai.
The current requirement that a codeshare booking must include flights operated by both airlines will be removed. Customers will now be able to book eligible flights between India and Singapore operated by either carrier on a standalone basis through the other's website, mobile app or appointed travel agencies.
"This next phase reflects our shared commitment to putting customers at the centre of everything we do," said Nipun Agarwal, Chief Commercial Officer, Air India. "By building on the strengths of our two airlines, we aim to deliver greater choice, convenience and value."
Lee Lik Hsin, Chief Commercial Officer, Singapore Airlines, added, "Demand for travel between Singapore and India remains strong, and this partnership will give customers greater choice and convenience, as well as enhanced reciprocal benefits for our frequent flyer members."
Passenger Benefits Expanded
In April 2026, the airlines enhanced reciprocal mileage accrual benefits by widening eligible booking classes and revising earn rates across cabins. Maharaja Club and KrisFlyer members can now earn miles on a broader range of flights.
From the second quarter of 2027, reciprocal benefits will extend further. Top-tier members-Maharaja Club Platinum and KrisFlyer PPS Club-will enjoy priority check-in and boarding, while Silver-tier members will receive additional baggage allowances and priority boarding.
The airlines are also working on improved schedule connectivity to reduce layovers, enhanced offerings for corporate customers, and measures to streamline the travel experience.
Air India and SIA already have a comprehensive codeshare covering 77 destinations across 27 countries. Through hubs in Delhi, Mumbai and Singapore, they provide access to an extensive global network across Asia, Europe, North America and Australia.
