Lesotho, March 10 -- The Government of Lesotho, the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and Vodacom Lesotho have called for stronger action to protect and promote the rights of women and girls as the country marked International Women's Day.

The commemoration was held under the theme "Rights. Justice. Action. For All Women and Girls." It brought together government officials, civil society organisations, development partners and private sector representatives to reflect on progress made in gender equality while acknowledging the challenges that women and girls still face.
