Lesotho, Oct. 7 -- The Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) has organized a high-level dialogue on electoral system review, inter- and intra-party dialogue, with stakeholders calling for reforms aimed at strengthening electoral democracy, inclusion, public trust and the consolidation of democratic development in Lesotho.

In his opening remarks, IEC Chairperson Rev. Dr John Maphephe explained that the dialogue provided an opportunity for reflection, listening and learning, while creating greater inclusion in democratic development. He said the engagement was also intended to identify common ground through informed national learning and responsible sharing among development partners, constitutional stakeholders and communities.
