Lesotho, Oct. 7 -- The World Bank Country Representative for Lesotho, Dinara Djoldosheva, reaffirmed the Bank's commitment to helping Lesotho achieve universal access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and clean energy by 2030.
Speaking at the launch of Mission 300 at Ha Laka, Thaba-Tseka on Thursday, Djoldosheva said Lesotho has set a very clear national ambition and the Lesotho National Energy Compact provides the roadmap to achieving it.
"Mission 300 is a flagship initiative jointly led by the World Bank Group and the African Development Bank. It brings together governments, development partners and the private sector around the goal of connecting 300 million people across sub-Saharan Africa to electricity by 2030," she said.
