Lesotho, Oct. 14 -- The Chinese community in Lesotho celebrated its cultural heritage through a Chinese Culture Evening held at Avani Maseru last Friday, with Wu Opera taking centre stage as part of efforts to strengthen friendship and cultural exchange between Lesotho and China.

The event featured three performances: The Goddess of Heaven Scatters Flowers, the Wu Opera performance Lyu Bu Tries the Horse, and a Huihu Solo Hui Tune performance, showcasing different aspects of China's traditional artistic heritage.

Speaking at the event, Chinese Ambassador to Lesotho, H.E. Yang Xiaokun, said cultural exchanges were important in helping people understand and appreciate different traditions while building lasting friendships.
