Lesotho, Sept. 30 -- Basotho have been urged to break the long-standing silence around money and begin having open conversations about income, budgeting, savings, investments and financial planning within their families.

The call was made during the closing activities of the 2026 Money Month campaign at Lehakoe Recreational and Cultural Centre, hosted by the Central Bank of Lesotho (CBL) and other financial institutions. The campaign sought to promote financial education and encourage individuals and families to develop healthier relationships with money.
