Lesotho, Sept. 16 -- For some, politics was something they watched from the sidelines. For others, it was an ambition they had quietly carried but lacked the confidence, knowledge or direction to pursue.

But after taking part in the BAM Group Foundation (BGF) WYDE Women's Leadership Initiative's Race for Parliament training, several participants say they are leaving with a different mindset and, for some, a firm decision to enter leadership.

From learning how, political campaigns work to understanding Parliament, building confidence and confronting the challenges women face in politics, participants described the training as an eye-opening experience that gave them new perspectives on their leadership potential.
