The Vice-President of India, Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan, today inaugurated Navaratri Sargotsavam 2026 in Kozhikode, Keralam, and emphasised the importance of preserving India's rich cultural heritage while advancing on the path of development.
Addressing the gathering, the Vice-President said that Navaratri celebrates the divine feminine power of Adi Parashakti, the eternal source of creation, strength, wisdom and compassion. He observed that the festival's enduring message is that courage must overcome fear, righteousness must prevail over injustice, and knowledge must dispel ignorance. These timeless values, he said, continue to guide society towards a better future.
