Vice Admiral Vineet McCarty, AVSM assumed charge as the 20th Commander-in-Chief, Andaman & Nicobar Command (ANC) at Sri Vijaya Puram on June 01, 2026. Commissioned into the Indian Navy on July 01, 1989, the Flag Officer is a specialist in Gunnery and Missiles. An alumnus of the Defence Services Staff College, Wellington, and the National Defence College, New Delhi, he brings over 36 years of distinguished service across operational, staff, training and tri-service domains.
