Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Shri Amit Shah approves advance release of Rs.2,117.85 crore to flood-affected States under SDRF

India, Aug. 1 -- The Government of India has issued a release:

Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Shri Amit Shah has approved the advance release of Rs.2,117.85 crore from the Central share of the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) to support the States affected by floods during the ongoing southwest monsoon of 2026. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the Government remains committed to extending all necessary assistance to States for effective relief, rescue and rehabilitation measures and will continue to monitor the situation closely.
