AGARTALA, India, March 11 -- Tripura High Court issued the following order/judgement on Feb. 10:

This present appeal has been filed under Section 374(2) of Cr.P.C, 1973 against the judgement and order of conviction and sentence dated 12.08.2024 passed by the learned Special Judge (POCSO), Dhalai Judicial District, Ambassa, in connection with the case No. Special (POCSO) 04 of 2022 convicting the appellant to suffer R.1 for 10 (Ten) years for the commission of offence punishable under section 376(2)(f) of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 and also liable to pay a fine of Rs- 10,000/-(Rupees Ten thousand) only for the said offence, in default, of payment of such fine, the convict shall undergo further R.I for a period of 6(six) months.
