TRIPURA HIGH COURT ISSUES ORDER ON SMT. MADHUMITA DAS ROY V/S THE STATE OF TRIPURA & OTHERS

AGARTALA, India, June 15 -- Tripura High Court issued the following order/judgement on May 13:

Counsel for respondents No.3 to 5 is directed to compute the period of gratuity payable to the deceased employee under Section 4(2) of the Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972 and produce the said computation on the next date of hearing without prejudice to the right of the said Corporation to contend that the said statute does not apply.
