India, Aug. 11 -- The Government of India has issued a release:
Agriculture is a State subject. The Government is supplementing the efforts of State/UT Government for promoting sustainable agriculture through various schemes and programs. Under these schemes emphasis is being placed on balanced nutrient management, efficient water use, conservation agriculture, integrated farming systems, agroforestry, natural and organic farming, and promotion of climate-resilient agricultural technologies.
Under the Soil Health & Fertility Scheme, assistance is provided to States for promoting Integrated Nutrient Management through the judicious use of fertilizers. This improves fertilizer use efficiency and promotes balanced nutrient application. 26.18...
