India, Aug. 13 -- The Government of India has issued a release:
Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs Shri Durgadas Uikey informed today in Lok Sabha that the Ministry of Tribal Affairs implements the scheme Pradhan Mantri Janjatiya Vikas Mission (PMJVM) and Pradhan Mantri Janjati Maha Nyaya Abhiyan (PM-JANMAN) through Tribal Co-operative Marketing Development Federation (TRIFED) to facilitate and promote livelihood opportunities and entrepreneurship in the tribal population through establishment of Van Dhan Vikas Kendras (VDVKs). Under PMJVM scheme, 4,172 VDVKs, covering 12.48 lakh beneficiaries have been sanctioned in 28 States/UTs, with a total sanctioned amount of Rs.619.17 crore.
