SIKKIM HIGH COURT ISSUES JUDGEMENT ON SIKKIM PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION V/S SIKKIM INFORMATION COMMISSION AND ANOTHER

GANGTOK, India, June 15 -- Sikkim High Court issued the following judgment/order on May 15:

1. The Sikkim Public Service Commission (SPSC), Petitioner herein, is before this Court seeking the following reliefs;

"a. Quash and set aside the impugned order dated 17.06.2025 and 22.07.2025 passed by State Information Commission (Respondent No.1), as being without jurisdiction, contrary to the provisions of the RTI Act, 2005;

b. Hold and declare that the petitioner (SPIO) was justified in denying disclosure of the information sought being exempted under section 8(1)(j) of the RTI Act, 2005; c.
