India, July 29 -- The Government of India has issued a release:

Article 350 A of Indian Constitution states that "It shall be the endeavour of every State and of every local authority within the State to provide adequate facilities for instruction in the mother-tongue at the primary stage of education to children belonging to linguistic minority groups.

The National Education Policy (NEP), 2020 at para 4.11, inter-alia, provides that it is well understood that young children learn and grasp nontrivial concepts more quickly in their home language/mother tongue.
