The Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying (DAHD), Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying, Government of India, Hosted the National Workshop on Compartmentalization and Zoning for Foot & Mouth Disease (FMD) on 8 July 2026 at Bhubaneswar, Odisha. The two-day workshop aims to deliberate on strategies for implementing compartmentalization and zoning in accordance with international standards to strengthen India's animal health system, accelerate Foot & Mouth Disease (FMD) control and eradication efforts, facilitate safe domestic and international trade in livestock and livestock products, and support the national objective of achieving FMD-free status by 2030.
