In alignment with the Government of India's Swachhata campaign aimed at promoting cleanliness and hygiene in workplaces and public spaces, the Ministry of Heavy Industries (MHI) has successfully carried forward nationwide cleanliness and green initiatives with remarkable results.
Between December 2025 and August 2026, the Ministry undertook a total of 456 cleanliness campaigns, resulting in the weeding out of 6,115 files, freeing up approximately 6.14 lakh sq. ft. of office space, and generating approximately Rs.60.34 crore in revenue through the disposal of scrap.
