SHILLONG, India, March 8 -- Meghalaya High Court issued the following judgment/order on Feb. 6:

Today when the matter is taken up, Ms. I.Lyngwa, learned GA for the respondents submits that nothing survives for consideration in view of the fact that the FIR filed by the petitioner has been duly registered. She therefore, prays that the matter may be closed and disposed of.

Mr. K.C.Gautam, learned counsel for the petitioner has vehemently opposed this submission and has argued that, firstly, the respondent No. 5 though on receipt of notice, has failed to appear before this Court.
