India's coastline must be viewed as an interconnected space of ecology, security, economy, technology and human development, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science & Technology and Earth Sciences and MoS PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances, Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space, Dr. Jitendra Singh, said today while virtually addressing the National Conference on Coastal Ecology, Security and Sustainability (CCESS) 2026. India's 11,000-12,000 km long coastline offers significant potential for marine resources and the "Blue Economy", he added.
