GUWAHATI, India, May 1 -- Gauhati High Court issued the following order on March 31:
1. Heard Ms. S. S. Zia, learned counsel appearing for the applicant, who has filed this interlocutory application under Section 430 of BNS seeking suspension of sentence and to remain on previous bail.
2. The applicant/appellant was convicted vide judgment and order dated 20.01.2026 passed by the learned Special Judge (POCSO), Nagaon in Special POCSO Case No. 04(N)/2023 under Section 354D of IPC and was sentenced to undergo SI for six months and fine of Rs.5,000/- and in default SI for three months.
3. The applicant is stated to be on bail at present. The appeal has already been admitted.
