Kanpur-Kabrai (4/6 Lane Access-Controlled) Highway, approved earlier this month by the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA), is set to emerge as a transformative infrastructure project for Central India. To be implemented by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) under the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), the 117.7-km greenfield highway, with an estimated cost of Rs.7,145 crore, forms a vital part of the Bhopal-Kanpur Economic Corridor.
