In an intelligence led operation, officers of DRI, intercepted an import consignment at Nhava Sheva Port suspected to contain firecrackers and on examination of the same found firecrackers concealed under the guise of declared goods, namely "Bottle & Wallpaper."
Seized firecracker 288 Gatling
The detailed examination led to recovery of 19,800 pieces of firecrackers (known as 288 Gatling), weighing approximately 10,000 Kg with a market value of about Rs. 3 crore.
