Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science and Technology; Earth Sciences and Minister of State for PMO, Department of Atomic Energy, Department of Space, Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Dr. Jitendra Singh proposed positioning the Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA) as a nodal institution for building artificial intelligence competencies among public sector officials and developing a curriculum for AI-driven "Smart governance," signalling a significant step towards institutionalising technology-led administrative reforms in India.
