The National Statistical Office (NSO), Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation , Government of India organized a one - day " All India Official Language Festival - 2026 " on 18th May , 2026 at A.P. Shinde Seminar Hall , NASC Complex , Pusa , New Delhi .
The event was inaugurated by Ms. Geeta Singh Rathore , Director General ( NSS ) . In her opening address , she highlighted the importance of the official language, Hindi, and stated that it is a powerful medium for simple and effective expression of thoughts and feelings .
