ALIGARH, Sept. 5 -- ALIGARH, September 5: Prof. Latif Zafar Jilani, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, J.N. Medical College (JNMC), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), has been appointed Chairman of the department for a period of three years with effect from September 6, 2026.
Prof. Jilani has nearly three decades of experience as an academician, clinician and researcher in orthopaedic surgery. He has been serving as Professor at JNMC since August 2019, having earlier served as Associate Professor and Assistant Professor in the department. He completed his MBBS and MS (Orthopaedics) from AMU and subsequently obtained MRCS from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
