India, Sept. 15 -- PM Modi today on Sunday inaugurated the bioethanol plant and laid the foundation stone of the polypropylene unit at Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) in Golaghat district of Assam. On this occasion, he said that India is moving strongly towards becoming self-reliant in its energy needs.
The Prime Minister greeted the people present at the event on Shardiya Durga Puja and paid tribute to saint Srimanta Sankardev on his birth anniversary. He informed that projects worth about Rs 18,000 crore have been allocated to Assam, which will accelerate the pace of development of the state and create new opportunities for farmers and youth.
