India, Sept. 24 -- India reiterated its commitment to making quality healthcare accessible and affordable for all, while sharing its experience in strengthening public health systems and addressing priority health challenges at two key global health engagements held on the sidelines of the 81st United Nations General Assembly (UNGA81) in New York.
Union Health Secretary Smt. Punya Salila Srivastava participated in the Seventh Annual Ministerial Meeting of the Group of Friends of Universal Health Coverage (UHC) & Global Health, where she highlighted India's efforts to strengthen healthcare delivery across the continuum, from comprehensive primary healthcare to secondary and tertiary care, while protecting people from financial hardship.
