India, Aug. 6 -- The Indian Institute of Technology Ropar held its 15th Convocation today, awarding degrees to 761 students across undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes. The graduating batch comprised 377 B.Tech, 177 M.Tech, 65 M.Sc, 01 B.Sc, 01 Diploma and 140 PhD scholars.
Shri Satyanarayan Nuwal, Founder and Chairman of Solar Industries India Limited and a recent Padma Shri awardee, attended as Chief Guest. Shri Adil Zainulbhai, Chairman of the IIT Ropar Board of Governors, presided over the ceremony. Prof. Rajeev Ahuja, Director, IIT Ropar, welcomed the gathering and presented the Director's Report.
