Kasaragod, Aug. 1 -- Kasaragod: Researchers from the Central University of Kerala (CUK) have been granted an Indian patent for developing a novel catalyst preparation method that could contribute to cleaner fuel production and sustainable chemical manufacturing.

The patent, titled "Method for the Preparation of ITQ-2 Metal Oxy-Hydroxide Composite Materials Thereof", was granted on July 22, 2026, as Indian Patent No. 596368. The innovation was developed by Prof. A. Sakthivel along with his research team comprising Ms. Nimisha N.P. and Dr. Soumya B.N.
