India, Nov. 1 -- Coal India Limited (CIL) under the Ministry of Coal, the country's leading coal producer, marked its 51st Foundation Day on 1st November 2026 on a remarkable note, registering a series of record-breaking achievements during October 2026. The company recorded its highest-ever monthly coal production and total coal supply, while also achieving the highest-ever monthly supply to the power sector.
During October 2026, CIL achieved a highest-ever total coal supply of 70.3 Million Tonnes (MT) in any month, surpassing the previous record of 69.4 MT achieved in March 2026. This represents a year-on-year growth of 19%.
