India, April 25 -- An Anti-Tobacco Awareness Programme was organised at AMU Girls' School as part of the Tobacco-Free School Campaign, with the objective of educating students about the harmful effects of tobacco and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
The programme was attended by Prof. Neha Agrawal, Chairperson, Department of Public Health Dentistry, and Dr. Pramod Kumar Yadav, Assistant Professor, along with their team members Dr.Hridya J and Dr. Tuba Imam.
An informative session highlighted the physical, social and psychological risks associated with tobacco use. This was followed by an oath-taking ceremony in which students pledged to stay away from tobacco and promote a healthy, tobacco-free environment.
