The inaugural lecture, "Reimagining Education: Mother Tongue, Orality and Literacy Under NEP 2020," was delivered by Professor Imtiaz Hasnain, former Dean, Faculty of Arts, AMU; using examples from tribal languages such as Great Andamanese, he stressed that language embodies culture and worldview, and must be central to achieving educational equity in India's diverse society.

Opening the dialogue, Dr. Juhi Gupta, faculty member at ACWS and President, Inclusive Futures Foundation, highlighted the symbolism of the tree plantation that marked the beginning of the event-linking the nurturing of nature with the growth of knowledge and democracy.
