India, Aug. 2 -- Zoho founder and Chief Scientist Sridhar Vembu has warned that India's biggest challenge is creating enough jobs for its growing youth population amid an uncertain global economic environment, saying the IT industry is no longer generating employment at the pace it once did.

Sharing his views on the changing dynamics of the technology sector and its impact on employment, Vembu wrote on X: "The real issue facing our nation is how to create jobs for our massive cohort of youth in this very uncertain global landscape."

He added: "Sadly, the IT industry, including Zoho, has not created many jobs in recent years. We have not laid off people but we are not creating new jobs either."
