India, May 5 -- Bengal BJP President Samik Bhattacharya on Tuesday warned of strict action against party workers found involved in vandalism during post-poll celebrations in West Bengal, asserting that such individuals would be expelled from the party.
Speaking to ANI, the BJP leader said incidents had come to light where some people, carrying party flags, engaged in acts of vandalism.
"We strongly condemn such actions. If anyone is found involved, we will be compelled to expel them from the party," he said.
He emphasised that maintaining peace remains a top priority for the Bharatiya Janata Party.
"We appeal to our workers to remain peaceful and not hurt anyone's sentiments," Bhattacharya added.
