India, May 24 -- US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Los Angeles on Saturday announced the arrest of an Indian national with a criminal record in the United States.

The individual has been identified as 26-year-old Parminderpal Singh.

According to ICE, Singh's criminal record includes charges of vehicle theft, grand theft, trespassing, and vandalism.

The agency said in a post on X, "He is in ICE custody pending removal."

ICE also shared an image of Singh on the social media platform.

The development comes months after the deportation of 73-year-old Sikh woman Harjit Kaur to India in September last year, after she had spent nearly three decades in the US.
