India, Sept. 6 -- BSc student Surendra Singh Choudhary, popularly known as 'Bittu Tabahi', from Madhya Pradesh, has drawn widespread attention online after taking it upon himself to clean the polluted Ajnar River in Biaora.

Choudhary, 20, who describes himself as an environmental activist on Instagram, began the cleanliness drive on his own, using simple tools and spending his own money to remove plastic, algae and other waste from the river.

His efforts have not only earned appreciation from people across India but have also reportedly attracted a job offer from a Netherlands-based organisation.
