India, Sept. 26 -- A disciple of Hindu spiritual leader Sant Premanand Maharaj allegedly died after falling from the fourth floor of an ashram in Uttar Pradesh's Vrindavan on Friday, with police suspecting suicide.

The deceased was identified as Deepak Lodhi, also known as Rasik Dulari Sharan, a resident of Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh.

According to police, Lodhi was residing at Guru Kripa Kunj Ashram, associated with Keli Kunj, when the incident took place at around 10:30 am. He sustained serious injuries after allegedly falling from the fourth floor and later died.

The officer said police suspect that Lodhi died by suicide after allegedly jumping from the fourth floor. His family members have been informed, the officer added.
