India, March 30 -- Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar faced an embarrassing moment on Sunday after he slipped and briefly lost his balance on the red carpet while welcoming Egypt's Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty in Islamabad.

A video of the incident has since gone viral, showing Dar stumbling and falling to the ground during the formal reception.

He was quickly assisted by security personnel present at the venue.

Later, his son, Ali Dar, confirmed that the minister sustained a hairline fracture. In a post on X, he said Dar continued to attend all scheduled high-level meetings despite the injury.
