India, Aug. 7 -- The divorce proceedings between Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) chief C Joseph Vijay and his wife, Sangeetha Sornalingam, came to an end on Friday after she formally withdrew her divorce petition before the family court in Chengalpattu.

Sangeetha attended the hearing through video conferencing and informed the court of her decision to withdraw the petition.

Following her submission, the court formally closed the case.

Petition filed in February

Sangeetha had approached the Chengalpattu family court in February this year, seeking dissolution of her marriage with Vijay, citing irreconcilable differences.
