India, May 8 -- Actor-turned-politician Vijay is likely to be sworn in as the next Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu on Saturday after staking claim to form the government and telling Governor R V Arlekar that he has the support of 118 MLAs - the exact number needed for a majority in the 234-member Assembly.
NDTV, quoting sources, said the swearing-in ceremony is expected around 11 am, though an official announcement from Raj Bhavan is awaited.
