(Text, July 6 -- Veteran journalist Amalendu Kundu, one of India's foremost chroniclers of Sikkim and the Eastern Himalayan region, passed away on Saturday evening at his residence in the Howrah Maidan area of West Bengal. He was in his eighties and had been suffering from age-related ailments.
