India, Sept. 2 -- The Iranian government has accused the US of targeting a house where a wedding ceremony was going on that left at least four people, including a child, dead.

On an official X page, the Iranian government said: "The death toll from the US attack on a wedding ceremony in #Sirik has risen to four."

The post further said: " A young child is among the martyrs."

The government said at least 50 people were injured in the attack.

Several images shared on X by the government showed authorities rescuing the injured from the damaged building.

Another image showed rubble and debris from the damaged building scattered all around.
