India, Sept. 2 -- The US military has launched fresh strikes on Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) targets in Iran following what Washington described as attempted attacks on commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz and US service members stationed in the Middle East.

US Central Command said US forces began striking IRGC targets at 12 pm ET.

The announcement came amid renewed tensions in the region, with President Donald Trump warning Tehran that a much larger attack could follow if Iran retaliates.
