US-Iran conflict: Dubai Airport hit by shocking 31.3 pct passenger drop in first half of 2026
India, Aug. 26 -- Dubai International (DXB) welcomed 31.5 million guests during the first six months of 2026, amid the conflict in the region that disrupted air traffic during this period.
DXB welcomed 13 million passengers during the second quarter taking the first half traffic to 31.5 million, a 31.3% decline compared with the same period in 2025, as per official statement released by the DUbai government.
As per the Dubaai Government's Media office, amid regional airspace constraints during the first half of the year, guest volumes increased steadily throughout Q2, rising from 3.5 million in April to 4.5 million in May and 5 million in June.
