UPI payments will never be the same from October 15: Here's what changes, who pays more and all you need to know today
India, Sept. 16 -- The Indian government has introduced several changes to the rules related to UPI payments, specially impact the merchant transactions, from October 15.
One big relief for thousands of people who are using this mode of payment across India is that UPI will continue to remain completely free for all person-to-person transactions, irrespective of the amount transferred. The Ministry of Finance said payments to merchants up to Rs.2,000, along with transactions covered under the zero-MDR framework for small merchants, will also remain free.
