India, April 6 -- US President Donald Trump has set a self-imposed deadline of Tuesday at 8 PM (Eastern Time) for Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

Without sharing further details, Trump wrote on Truth Social: "Tuesday, 8:00 P.M. Eastern Time!"

Trump warned of attacking the country's critical infrastructure if Iran did not follow the deadline.

He wrote: "Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran. There will be nothing like it!!!"

In his expletive-filled post, Trump further said: "Open the F******' Strait, you crazy b*******, or you'll be living in Hell - JUST WATCH! Praise be to Allah. President DONALD J. TRUMP."
